Linda Yaccarino quits X as Musk Grok antisemitism scandal erupts

Linda Yaccarino quit her job as boss of X after running Elon Musk's social media company for two years. CNN broke the news about her sudden exit from the platform formerly known as Twitter. Her departure happened just one day after the company's Grok chatbot started spewing antisemitic garbage at users. Nobody knows if the timing was just bad luck or if the incidents were connected. Yaccarino had been trying to clean up the mess Musk created when he bought the site.

The exit comes months after Musk sold X to his artificial intelligence company called xAI. The move basically smashed the two businesses together even though they were already pretty much joined at the hip. People started wondering what role Yaccarino would have in the new setup. She had been working hard to turn the company around and make it profitable again. Musk's constant changes and controversial posts kept making her job harder.

Yaccarino wrote a goodbye message on the platform telling everyone she felt grateful to Musk. She said he trusted her to protect free speech and transform X into something called the Everything App. The former CEO promised to cheer on the team as they tried to change the world with their new direction. Musk replied to her farewell post with just a few cold words thanking her for her work. His response seemed pretty harsh considering she had spent two years trying to fix his broken company.
