A new Lord of the Rings video game is under development with funding from the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, according to Insider-Gaming. The third-person action title could receive an official announcement next week. Embracer Group holds the franchise rights after purchasing them in 2022, and a studio named Revenge has joined the project. The developers plan to compete directly with Hogwarts Legacy.
