Deadly Chase Follows Cash Theft in Lusaka.
One thief died, and three others got hurt after they stole money from a car in Lusaka. The group took K13,000 from a parked car at Noyi Bazer Farm.
Farm owner Emmanuel Munthali saw the theft. He chased the four men as they sped away. The thieves rode in a Toyota Allion down the 7070 Road.
Police officer Rae Hamoonga said the car crash happened near the ZNS Land branch office. The thieves lost control at a curve, and their car hit a Toyota Hilux head-on.
The thieves had switched their car plates. They changed AIE 9374 to BLB 7604 to hide the car's real identity.
People at the crash site beat up the three men who lived through it. Help came fast. Medical teams took the hurt men to a clinic.
The dead thief was Mulenga Bwalya from Chaisa. His friends were Gabriel Katongo, 21, Toanga Mubanga, 20, and Maxwell Mwiinga, 19. They came from different parts of town.
