Márquez Describes Quick Reaction to Launch Control Issue

Marc Márquez faced trouble with his bike's launch system just moments before the Mugello Sprint began. The Spanish rider acted fast when he noticed something wrong with the electronic start system. He made a split-second choice to reset everything and use the launch control anyway. Márquez believed this approach would work better than starting without the system completely. The first corner sits far away from the starting line and he worried about losing many spots without proper acceleration.

The Ducati star admitted he felt anything but relaxed during those tense seconds. He pressed buttons quickly and tried to fix the launch control before the race began. Márquez could not even see the starting lights properly during the chaos. He heard other motorcycles moving around him and decided to start based on sound alone. The rider began his race about two or three tenths of a second behind everyone else.

Márquez showed smart thinking when he moved his bike toward the right side of the track. He stayed away from the middle section where most riders would be charging forward. The Spanish champion never worried about getting hit from behind during his delayed start. His late beginning actually kept him safer because other racers had already moved ahead. This quick thinking helped him avoid crashes and set up his amazing comeback victory.
