Mahama Bids Muslims Dump Tribe Drama for Peace

President John Dramani Mahama visited the National Mosque at Kanda for a special prayer meeting with Muslim leaders. He told the crowd that Ghana needs everyone to work together and stop fighting over tribes and politics. The president said people must push back against extremism that tries to divide the country. He warned that some politicians try to trick citizens into hating each other for votes. Mahama believes Ghana's many different ethnic groups make the nation stronger when they unite.

The president quoted religious texts about how God made people different for good reasons. He said having various languages and faiths helps Ghana grow better as a country. Mahama thinks diversity brings opportunities rather than problems when people respect each other. The leader encouraged citizens to turn their differences into shared goals for building the nation. He stressed that working together creates more prosperity for everyone.

Mahama reminded the gathering that peace requires constant protection from all citizens. He said people cannot just assume harmony will continue without effort from everyone. The president called on leaders at every level to act with honesty and care for others. He quoted Prophet Muhammad about how each person must take responsibility for their community. The National Day of Prayer brought together people from all religions to pray for the country and promise to keep working for peace.
