Ghana Leader Sets New Rules for Government Workers.
Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama said his team must meet high standards in their work. He shared this message during his Thank You Tour in the Central Region on February 6, 2025.
The president plans to start a new system called Operation Recover All Loot or ORAL. This plan aims to ensure workers do their jobs well and use money wisely.
"We will put strict rules in place," Mahama said. He added that people in power must follow clear guidelines about what they can and cannot do.
The president made clear that this plan applies both ways. His team will examine what past leaders did with public money, while his cabinet members must follow the same rules.
"As we check the actions of those who left office, current workers should know they face the same tests," Mahama stated. This shows his push to make all government work more open and honest.
