Mahama names Martin Yamborigya acting DTRD boss

President John Dramani Mahama has named Dr. Martin Kolbil Yamborigya to lead the Domestic Tax Revenue Division at the Ghana Revenue Authority on an acting basis, replacing Edward Apenteng Gyambrah following his retirement. The appointment positions a seasoned public finance expert with more than twenty years of progressive experience in revenue administration at the helm of domestic tax operations.

Dr. Yamborigya previously served in multiple senior roles within the authority, including leadership positions in tax audit operations at the Large Taxpayer Office, where he championed reforms designed to improve compliance and broaden the tax base. His background encompasses work as head of special audits, post-clearance audit, and various audit team positions across different taxpayer offices.

The authority expects the new acting commissioner to advance digital transformation initiatives and strengthen partnerships aimed at boosting revenue collection efforts across Ghana.
