Mamata Banerjee rages as BJP Delhi dumps Bengali family in Bangladesh

West Bengal leaders plan to fight back against Delhi authorities who sent three family members to Bangladesh. The state government wants to take legal action after Danish Sheikh, his wife Sunali Khatun and their young son got forced out of India on June 26. Officials claim the family actually comes from Paikar village under Muraroi police station located within Birbhum district. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee says BJP states keep targeting Bengali workers and wrongly calling them foreigners. The family had been living and working around Delhi to earn money for survival.

Samirul Islam heads the West Bengal Migrant Workers Welfare Board and serves as a Rajya Sabha member. He told reporters that six migrant workers face similar problems and the state will challenge these deportations through courts. Islam claims this unfair treatment happens daily across BJP controlled states where Bengali speaking workers get targeted. About 22 lakh migrants from West Bengal work outside their home state for jobs. Around 1.5 lakh migrants currently work within Bengal borders doing various types of labor.

Delhi police officers defend their actions and say they followed proper rules before sending the family away. They claim the three people could not show any valid documents proving their Indian citizenship. The Sheikh family relatives insist all three members are genuine Indian citizens from West Bengal. This case highlights growing tensions between different state governments over migrant worker rights and deportation policies.
