Mamata Banerjee wishes Shah Rukh Khan a speedy recovery after an on-set injury

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed concern about Shah Rukh Khan after the actor sustained muscle injuries during a film production. The Bollywood star traveled to the United States for medical treatment following the incident in his movie King. Khan suspended filming for one month to recover from his injuries.

The actor has faced physical setbacks throughout his career. A spinal injury occurred in 2001 while performing stunts for the film Shakti, leading to a prolapsed disc diagnosis. Multiple therapies failed to resolve his condition permanently.

Khan underwent spinal surgery at Wellington Hospital in London in 2003 when his condition deteriorated. Banerjee maintains a strong relationship with the actor through his involvement with the Kolkata Knight Riders cricket franchise. The IPL team has captured three championship titles under different captains across multiple seasons.
