Maresca Supports Mudryk Amid FA Anti-Doping Suspension

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has not talked with Mykhailo Mudryk since drug charges hit the player last December. The Ukraine striker faces a four-year ban after failing a routine drug test and cannot train with the team. Maresca saw Mudwhile at their Conference League final victory but they have not spoken since that meeting. The manager said he trusts all Chelsea players and supports Mudryk during this difficult time. Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk for up to 89 million pounds and scored 10 goals across 73 games.

Cole Palmer took over Mudryk's number 10 shirt and wore it during their 2-0 win against Los Angeles FC. The 23-year-old forward said he always wore that number growing up because he admires Messi and Rooney. Palmer once sent a message to former Chelsea star Eden Hazard about the famous shirt number but never got a reply back. He has met Hazard several times at training and even gave him jerseys for his children.

Maresca plans to rotate three to five players for each match as Chelsea prepares to face Flamengo next. The manager expects Noni Madueke to stay at the club despite rumors linking him with Arsenal.
