Marquinhos' thigh glitch adds to PSG's misery stack

Paris Saint-Germain faces another major personnel setback as captain Marquinhos sustained a left thigh injury requiring several weeks of treatment. The Brazilian defender joins teammates Joao Neves, Desire Doue, and recent Ballon d'Or recipient Ousmane Dembele on the injury list. Marquinhos completed the entire match against Marseille on Monday, which ended in a 1-0 loss where he scored for the opposition. The European champions have not disclosed when the 31 year old sustained this injury.

Bradley Barcola returned to Friday training after missing the Marseille encounter due to thigh muscle fatigue. PSG prepares for upcoming fixtures against Auxerre this weekend and Barcelona in Champions League action. The team also travels to Lille on October 5 for league competition. Luis Enrique must navigate these matches without several key players as injuries continue mounting.
