Two men were arrested in Masvingo on drug charges following a police tip. Suspected dealer Bothwell Teveraishe and accomplice Panashe Barure were intercepted on the road to Beitbridge. Authorities tracked their vehicle after observing a suspicious pick up and drop off, leading to a search that uncovered dagga hidden in the car's bonnet and under the seat.
Police later found Barure at a local growth point and seized more drugs from his home. The total weight of the confiscated dagga was over two and a half kilograms. Both suspects appeared in court and were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
