Mayor Lowe Tells UDP to End Petty Feuds for 2026

Banjul's Mayor Rohey Lowe believes her political party, the United Democratic Party, can beat President Barrow in the 2026 elections. However, she warns that they must stop arguing among themselves and work together.

Mayor Lowe said the party needs to stay united and focus on challenging President Barrow instead of fighting each other. She talked about her deep commitment to the party, explaining that she has been involved since childhood and sees it as her lifelong home.

She expressed frustration with people who criticize her political approach. Mayor Lowe believes she has done more for the party than most members and has a long history of dedication. She challenged newer members by saying they could not love the party more than those who built its foundations.

The mayor warned other party leaders, such as Mayor Talib Bensouda and Chairman Yankuba Darboe, to watch out for people trying to create divisions. She believes these troublemakers want to tear the party apart and will leave after causing damage.

Despite experiencing what she calls President Barrow's hostile tactics, Mayor Lowe says she remains calm and does not complain loudly. Her main message is clear: the party must unite, stay strong, and work together to have a chance of winning the next election.
