MCP Leaders Slam Childish Price Hike Politics

Two leaders from the Malawi Congress Party shared important news. Catherine Gotani Hara and Ken Zikhale Ng'oma believe some people make food and other things more expensive on purpose. They think these people want to make the government look bad.

At a big meeting in Mzuzu, Speaker Hara talked to many people. She knows the country faces hard times. She thinks some people raise prices because they want to hurt the government's reputation. Minister Ng'oma agrees with her. He says people feel upset because President Chakwera wants to fix things. Ng'oma calls this "childish politics." Both leaders promise prices will become lower.

"People raise prices because we have elections coming? This shows childish behavior," Minister Ng'oma said. He thinks someone named Chimanga tries to make things cost more in secret.

Speaker Hara wants people to grow food using water from rivers and wells. The weather changes a lot, making it hard for farmers to know when rain will come. She announced good news for Mzuzu families. The government will give 70,000 kwacha to 12,000 homes. She asked local chiefs to pick people fairly when sharing this money.

The leaders want everything done honestly. They asked the chiefs to watch the places where people sell corn. This will stop bad people from cheating others when they buy food.
