MediaTek hits $3 billion in flagship chip revenue for Q2 2025, Dimensity 9500 launches soon

MediaTek achieved remarkable financial performance during the second quarter of 2025, generating NT$150.369 billion in total revenue. The Taiwanese semiconductor company attributes this success primarily to strong sales of its Dimensity 9400 and Dimensity 9400+ flagship processors. Mobile chip sales accounted for 52 percent of the company's quarterly earnings while maintaining gross margins near 50 percent. MediaTek executives announced plans to launch the Dimensity 9500 processor during the third quarter, which has already attracted more customers than previous generations. The company will advance to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's 2-nanometer production process next year, positioning itself competitively against Qualcomm and Apple in the premium smartphone market.
