Mercuriall adds classic HM-2 distortion to Ampbox update

Mercuriall Audio Software brought out a fresh version of their Ampbox guitar software. The company added the famous HM-2 distortion effect to version 1.6.4 of their program. Musicians can download this classic sound effect without paying extra money.

The team found an original Japanese BOSS HM-2 unit from the 1980s that still worked perfectly. They studied every part of the vintage device and copied its sound into their computer program. The developers recreated each section of the old hardware piece by piece.

Guitar players who love heavy and aggressive sounds will recognize this effect right away. The HM-2 creates the raw and powerful tone that made it famous among metal musicians. Mercuriall says they captured the exact sound that fans expect from this legendary pedal.

The company wants more people to try their guitar effects software. They cut prices on all their programs by one third until late June. Guitar players can save money on any Mercuriall plugin during this sale period.

Ampbox users can start using the new HM-2 effect as soon as they update their software. The distortion joins other guitar effects already available in the program. Musicians can combine the HM-2 with different amplifiers and cabinets to create their perfect guitar sound.
