Microsoft strips Xbox Game Pass discount on Call of Duty

Microsoft has eliminated a 10% discount on Call of Duty add-ons and COD Points for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, marking another price adjustment following a 50% increase in Game Pass fees. The company previously offered the discount on cosmetic items and in-game currency for Call of Duty titles featured in the service. CharlieINTEL reported the change on X.

The removal follows recent Xbox Series console price increases in the United States and Microsoft's decision to block players from using Microsoft Points for Game Pass renewals. Players responded by canceling subscriptions through Microsoft's website after the modifications took effect. Rising costs for essential goods have pushed consumers to reduce spending on entertainment, and Microsoft's simultaneous price hikes and benefit cuts have made leaving the Xbox ecosystem easier for longtime platform users.
