Min Aung Hlaing pledges better hospitals and urges new Myanmar doctors to serve all

Myanmar's military leader addressed healthcare professionals during a certificate presentation ceremony at Yangon's convention center yesterday morning. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing emphasized that human life holds the highest priority for the State Administration Council. The government focuses on delivering accessible medical services while reducing patient expenses through strategic resource management. Health Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win welcomed the senior general alongside medical staff members. Emergency care operates continuously at public hospitals nationwide.

The administration invests in healthcare infrastructure improvements for ethnic communities across the nation. Myanmar has a life expectancy rate of 69 years, placing it fifth among neighboring countries and ninth within ASEAN. Hospital upgrades, new construction projects, and the purchase of modern equipment support enhanced medical treatment capabilities. The senior general distributed official appointments to representatives from multiple medical universities. Preventive healthcare measures and improved living conditions remain government priorities for extending citizen lifespans.
