Minister Sanyatwe takes control of Zimbabwe's SRC board

Sport Minister Anselem Sanyatwe picked fresh faces to run Zimbabwe's Sport and Recreation Commission. The old leadership finished their time and walked away from their jobs. Eight new people will take charge and guide sports across the country for the next four years. Their mission focuses on making sports better and keeping everything running smooth. The minister followed all the legal rules when he made these choices.

Dr. Nathaniel Madzivanyika will lead the group as the main person in charge. Seven other members join him to form the complete team. Gwinyai Mharapara, Hlengiwe Dube, and Shingai Rhuhwaya bring their skills to the table. Givemore Madzoka, Valentine Mudenda, Lillian Chikara, and David Simba round out the squad. These people will work together to help athletes and sports clubs reach their goals.

The new board starts work on July 8, 2025 and will finish on July 7, 2029. Four years gives them plenty of time to make real changes happen. They must follow the Public Entities and Corporate Governance Act during their service. The Sports and Recreation Commission Act also tells them what they can and cannot do. Minister Sanyatwe made sure everything follows the proper legal steps.

The commission handles sports development and keeps things fair for everyone. These board members will watch over competitions and help teams grow stronger. They also make rules that protect athletes and fans across Zimbabwe. Their work affects every person who loves sports and recreation activities. Success depends on how well they serve the sporting community.
