Minister Sillah Challenges Critics on Hakalang Road

Transport Minister Sees New Hakalang Road.

Minister Ebrima Sillah visited the new Hakalang road on Thursday. The road is almost done, and he said it is one of the best roads in the Gambia.

Many people said the government was not serious about building the road. They said the promises were fake. But Minister Sillah said the road proves them wrong.

He asked the doubters to come see the road. They can bring road experts to check the quality. The Minister is sure they will agree it is a very good road.

Minister Sillah thanked all the people who helped make the road. The National Road Authority and the builders did a good job. The Finance Ministry provided the money to pay for it, and other ministries helped, too.

The Minister said the road would open in April or May. President Adama Barrow will attend the opening.

Ousman Sanyang from the National Road Authority also visited the road. He and the Minister also looked at other road projects around the country.

The new Hakalang road is an important project for Gambia. It will help people in that part of the country travel more easily.
