Mliswa slams Mutsvangwa for ignoring China deals, chasing gossip

Independent politician Temba Mliswa slammed ZANU-PF spokesperson Chris Mutsvangwa, accusing him of petty personal feuds with businessman Kuda Tagwirei instead of focusing on bigger issues.

Mliswa said Mutsvangwa's attacks are an embarrassment, driven by personal ambition. He defended local tycoons who fund the party, arguing ZANU-PF might not be in power without them, comparing it to other African nations not criticizing their own business leaders. He claimed even Mutsvangwa owes his position to these figures, and said the government should enable success, not gatekeep it.

He shifted focus to Chinese investments, specifically calling the Manhize steel project a heist. Mliswa alleged the real money goes to China despite the project's trillion-dollar resource value, leaving Zimbabwe with a tiny share. He labeled Chinese practices as wanton and extractive, saying that should be the spokesperson's real focus, not internal squabbles.
