Mnangagwa Distances from Bangu and Expels Party Dissidents

President Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe has distanced himself from his friend Calisto Bangu, a big name from Masvingo Province. News reports say Bangu faces heavy criticism inside Zanu PF these days. Another important party member, Kudakwashe Gopo, recently caused trouble at District Committee meetings. He even started a WhatsApp group that hurt the party's interests.

The Politburo kicked Gopo out because of his actions. People close to the situation say the party will call Bangu to the main office soon. They want him to answer claims from Masvingo Province about harming party unity. Someone inside Zanu PF mentioned that Mnangagwa takes tough action to keep his power after 2028 ends.

The president goes after anyone who fights against him or his plans to stay leader for many years. The current situation shows growing fights between different groups inside the ruling party. These problems come as Zimbabwe faces economic challenges that affect regular citizens across the country. Leadership battles continue behind closed doors.

Political experts watch these developments carefully as they might signal bigger changes coming to Zimbabwean politics. The ruling party rarely deals with internal problems in public view. When they do, it usually means serious power shifts happen underneath. Both Bangu and Gopo once enjoyed good standing before falling from favor with top leadership circles.
