Mnangagwa gives youth farm machines and drilling rigs

President Mnangagwa just gave young farmers across different provinces a huge boost. At a ceremony in Hatcliffe, he gave 72 fancy tractors and 10 combine harvesters to youth farming groups. These machines cost about $7.4 million in total. This handout came after he started the Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme, where he promised to cover half the price of all equipment.

Every province also walked away with a machine that drills boreholes to help set up watering systems for Youth Business Units. The president brings these farming tools from Belarus and sells them through Empower Bank with very friendly payment plans. Farmers can pay back the money over three years without needing any property as security. The interest rate stays super low at just 7.5 percent each year.
