Mnangagwa to Set Chief Tshovani Abuzz with Culture

President Mnangagwa plans to open National Culture Month at Chief Tshovani's home in Masvingo. Information Minister Dr Jenfan Muswere told reporters after a Cabinet meeting that the event will run from May 1 to 31. The theme focuses on Indigenous Voices throughout Zimbabwe. The exact date for the launch will come soon. The celebration aims to showcase cultural success stories across the nation.

The first week centers on old recipes that connect people with food history. Week two features Indigenous Fashion with displays of cultural clothing. The main launch happens during week three, with the president speaking. Week four brings Indigenous Languages with music, dance, poetry, films, and language workshops. Dr Muswere asks all citizens to honor their native languages during May.

Each province will hold its launch with local officials leading ceremonies. These events hope to celebrate Zimbabwe's heritage and bring people together. They want to display many cultural practices through different art forms. The month also works to create talks between different cultural groups. Everyone can join these activities happening across the country.
