EA reports Split Fiction has sold almost 4 million copies. This co-op game from Hazelight Studios helped EA finish its 2025 fiscal year strongly alongside EA Sports FC 25. Hazelight Studios celebrated on social media, thanking players for enjoying the adventures of Mio and Zoe. The studio also noted how many virtual hot dogs players have created in the game. Their previous award-winning title, It Takes Two, reached 20 million sales in March 2025.
A movie based on Split Fiction is moving forward with actress Sydney Sweeney cast as one of the two main characters. Jon M. Chu will direct the film adaptation. Writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, known for their work on Deadpool & Wolverine, will write the screenplay. No information exists about who will play the second lead character.
