Mob Almost Burns Thief as Cops Nab 11 Sacks of Drugs

Police caught two men carrying drugs near Accra on Saturday. Officers stopped Mathew Narkotey and Augustine Teye during a regular patrol. The men drove a Mazda pickup truck through Ayi Mensah when police searched their vehicle. Investigators found eleven large bags of suspected narcotics hidden inside the truck. Police seized the vehicle and drugs as evidence.

Both suspects remain locked up helping officers with their investigation. Narkotey and Teye told police about another man named Martey who planned to receive the drugs. Officers continue searching for Martey as part of their ongoing case. The National Operations Department team made the arrest during weekend patrols. Police impounded the truck at their Joint Operations Centre for testing.

Authorities work to remove illegal drugs from Ghana communities. The police statement emphasized their commitment to fighting drug crimes. Officers focus their efforts on catching people who sell and transport narcotics. Law enforcement teams patrol regularly to stop drug trafficking. Police bring all drug criminals to court for prosecution.
