Modi attacks RJD, pitches women’s empowerment in Bihar

Prime Minister Modi initiated the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana through virtual means from Delhi during Friday's political campaign season. The scheme delivered direct bank transfers of ten thousand rupees to seventy-five lakh women across Bihar, representing the first phase disbursement worth seventy-five hundred crore rupees. Modi positioned this launch as electoral strategy while simultaneously attacking opposition party RJD and its leadership for past governance failures. The announcement preceded upcoming Bihar Assembly elections where political parties compete for voter support.

Modi characterized his partnership with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as brotherly collaboration focused on women's economic advancement throughout the state. He referenced previous RJD administration periods as times marked by lawlessness and corruption that particularly harmed female citizens. The Prime Minister connected this new initiative with existing central government programs like Jan Dhan Yojana and Lakhpati Didi missions. Political observers view these welfare announcements as strategic moves designed to influence upcoming electoral outcomes.
