Modi electrifies Bihar and Bengal with mega projects and Durgapur rally

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Bihar and West Bengal this Friday to launch development initiatives valued at more than Rs 12,000 crore. The eastern states will receive substantial infrastructure investments, with Bihar getting Rs 7,200 crore and West Bengal receiving Rs 5,000 crore for various projects. These investments target improved connectivity, job creation, and technological advancement across both regions. Modi will speak at public events in Motihari and Durgapur during his visit. Railway modernization forms a major component of the announcement.

The Prime Minister will start four new Amrit Bharat Express train services connecting Patna, Motihari, Darbhanga, and Malda Town with Delhi and Lucknow. Railway upgrades worth Rs 4,660 crore encompass automatic signaling systems and track doubling projects across multiple routes. Road development will advance through the four-lane expansion of the Ara bypass and highway sections totaling Rs 820 crore. Technology parks in Darbhanga and Patna will support digital startups and IT exports. West Bengal will gain natural gas infrastructure through pipeline projects and city gas distribution networks.
