The Trinamool rejected the claims and accused the BJP of promoting xenophobia. Banerjee noted border security falls under federal jurisdiction.
The Election Commission's voter roll revision in Bihar found multiple instances of Nepali, Myanmarese, and Bangladeshi nationals registered as voters. A similar exercise will occur in West Bengal before the election. Modi also praised RSS founder KB Hedgewar at the event marking the organization's founding 100 years ago on Vijayadashami.
