Mokwa Flood Leaves Town in Total Ruin

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago expressed sadness about deadly floods that struck Mokwa Local Government Area. Many residents died and lost their property during the natural disaster. Bago's spokesperson Bologi Ibrahim delivered the governor's message to affected communities. The state leader described the situation as heartbreaking and pathetic. He prayed for victims and asked God to help injured people recover quickly.

Bago ordered Niger State Emergency Management Agency to respond immediately to the crisis. Officials must assess damage levels and determine what help communities need most. The governor promised his administration would work tirelessly to protect all citizens. He urged Mokwa people to remain calm during these challenging times. State resources will support recovery efforts for flood survivors.

Torrential rains fell for several hours before the devastating flood waters rose. Tiffin Maza and Anguwan Hausawa communities suffered the worst damage from rising water. Buildings went completely underwater as the flood spread through residential neighborhoods. Families lost their homes and personal belongings to the rushing currents. The disaster left many people without shelter or basic necessities.
