A court heard testimony from a radio manager who helped translate a crime scene video. The manager works at Uganda Broadcasting Corporation and handles document translations. Police brought her a video showing the house helper, George Amanyire, talking about Henry Katanga's death. Katanga died from a gunshot at his home on November 2, 2023. The manager assigned another worker to write down what Amanyire said on the video.
Amanyire told police the night before seemed normal. Molly Katanga came home at 6 pm and exercised outside. Henry arrived around 9 pm and had tea with his wife. The next morning, Amanyire heard loud fighting sounds from upstairs. He found Molly covered in blood with broken fingers and a cracked skull.
Defense lawyers questioned the manager about missing parts in the translation. They pointed out that some of Molly's words did not appear in the written report. The manager admitted mistakes might have happened during the translation work. The court will meet again on June 10 to continue the murder case.
