A dedicated post office for women opened in Motihari on Wednesday, marking the third such facility in Bihar. BJP MP Radha Mohan Singh joined local MLA Pramod Kumar and Post Superintendent Ashutosh Aditya for the ceremonial lighting that launched the new center. Singh told attendees that true empowerment comes from creating opportunities rather than merely granting rights.
The facility will staff exclusively female employees to serve the community. Aditya said the specialized office addresses specific needs and offers greater convenience for women in the region. Two post offices received inaugurations on the same day in Motihari as part of ongoing modernization efforts that bring banking services to postal locations.
The central government runs multiple programs aimed at supporting women through financial assistance, education initiatives and violence prevention services. These efforts seek to advance economic independence, ensure social security and build equality across Indian society.
