Motorcyclist dies as Toyota Harrier exits slip road

A motorcyclist died after colliding with a Toyota Harrier at a junction near SJK(C) Sebiew Chinese on Jalan Tun Hussein Onn early on Sunday morning. Medical personnel from Bintulu Hospital pronounced the rider dead at the scene, and a pillion passenger suffered injuries.

Bintulu police chief Supt Nixon Joshua Ali said the Toyota Harrier exited a slip road from J5 toward Taman Putrajaya when the motorcycle traveling from Bintulu town struck the vehicle around 2 a.m. The impact caused fatal injuries to the rider.

Police classified the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving. Witnesses can contact Investigating Officer Insp Lydia Allan at 086-338575 or the Bintulu District Police Operations Room at 086-318304.
