Motorcyclist Killed by Trailer Lorry After Fall on North-South Expressway

A man died after his motorcycle crashed on a major highway near Seremban yesterday afternoon. The 51-year-old rider fell from his BMW bike and was struck by a large truck. Police say he suffered severe head injuries and died at the crash site. The accident happened at 4 PM on the North-South Expressway at the 254.6 kilometer mark. Traffic was moving north when the fatal crash occurred.

The motorcyclist tried to avoid hitting a Ford Ranger that stopped suddenly ahead of him. He moved his bike to the right side but struck the vehicle's mirror. The impact caused him to fall into the right traffic lane where a trailer ran over him. A second motorcycle rider behind the victim also crashed into the Ford Ranger. The truck driver and everyone else involved escaped without injuries.

Police Chief Mohamad Hatta Che Din confirmed the details of the deadly accident. The Ford Ranger carried a 65-year-old driver and his 54-year-old passenger. Neither person was hurt during the multi-vehicle crash. The second motorcyclist also avoided serious harm despite hitting the same vehicle. Medical staff took the victim's body to Rembau Hospital for examination.

Officers are investigating the crash under traffic safety laws. They want anyone who saw the accident to contact Inspector Tiew Chuan Jie. People can call him at 014-9668399 or visit their local police station. The investigation continues as authorities work to understand what caused the deadly chain reaction. Police hope witnesses can provide more details about the tragic highway accident.
