Mouka hands out baby gear to New Year newborns

A mattress company is handing out freebies to newborns again. Mouka Limited, a foam product maker under the Dolidol International Group, continued its annual tradition this year by gifting items to families with new babies. They worked with public hospitals in fifteen states, like Lagos, Oyo, and Kano, celebrating seventy one infants born as the year began. Each family got a package with a Dreamtime Baby Mattress, pillows, toys, and skin care products. In Lagos, they partnered with the governor's wife, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, visiting several general hospitals. The first baby was a girl born right at midnight to the Daramola family at Gbagada General Hospital.

The company's head, Femi Fapohunda, said their goal is to promote healthy sleep from childhood. He described their baby mattress as designed for proper growth, noting its water-resistant and breathable features. The visits reached other states too, like Niger State, where the first baby at Minna General Hospital arrived just after midnight. Parents thanked the company for the gifts, which Mouka frames as part of its community role. The brand, around for more than six decades, sells various sleep products like orthopaedic mattresses and luxury pillows. Fapohunda stated they plan to keep this tradition going to support families across Nigeria.
