MP Fokuo Claims NPP Excluded from Economic Dialogue

The NPP never received any formal invite to join the National Economic Dialogue organized by President Mahama and his team. Tweneboa Kodua Fokuo, who serves as Manso Nkwanta MP, shared this information during his appearance on The Big Issue TV show. He checked thoroughly but found zero evidence of any written invitation sent to his party. Many regular citizens had wondered why the biggest opposition group missed such an important national meeting.

The government planned this big discussion hoping to gather different political leaders, economy experts, and other important people. They wanted everyone to talk about fixing money problems and growing the Ghanaian economy. Critics attacked the NPP for skipping the event, saying they purposely avoided helping solve national problems. Some folks even claimed the party ran away from joining talks that might lead to solutions everyone could agree on.

Mr. Fokuo strongly rejected these accusations against his party. He placed full blame on President Mahama for not making sure all major political groups received proper invitations. The MP emphasized that true national dialogue requires including every significant voice, especially from large opposition parties like the NPP. He believed the administration failed their basic duty to bring everyone to the table.

The absence of NPP representatives created quite a stir across Ghana. Many people felt disappointed that such an important group missed discussions about their country's future. According to Fokuo, you cannot blame someone for not attending when they never received an invitation card. The MP stressed that his party remains ready to contribute ideas for fixing economic challenges, but first, somebody needs to actually ask them to participate.
