Developer Attila M. Magyar released updated versions of two software tools, with MPE Emulator reaching version 1.1.0 and JS80P advancing to version 3.5.0. The MPE Emulator plugin adds sustain pedal functionality and permits continuous expression messages on the global channel after note releases, enabling users to control extended release phases.
The JS80P synthesizer now incorporates MPE capabilities while introducing six additional presets, including Analog Brass AT MPE, Expressive Saw MPE and multiple bowl-based sounds. The performance-focused instrument features dual oscillators with sub-harmonic sine generation, multiple filtering options and comprehensive sound-shaping through subtractive, additive, FM, PM and AM synthesis methods.
Both applications maintain full backward compatibility with earlier releases, allowing users to load existing patches and projects without modification issues.
