Farming just got literal for hundreds of locals receiving free piglets to stack cash. The Microfinance Support Centre distributed 1,260 hybrid pigs to 420 organized crowds in Rukungiri District. This project intends to boost bank accounts across the Kigezi region via a partnership with the Rukungiri Producer Cooperative Union.
Emmanuel Mbogha manages the zone and claims this intervention tackles poverty head-on. He noted that the organization has already handed out over ten thousand animals total. The goal involves breeding these creatures for multiplication rather than immediately turning them into bacon.
