MSI's white X870 Edge, Tomahawk boards get weird

MSI prepares to release two new AM5 motherboards that feature distinctive white color schemes. The company targets builders seeking modern aesthetics for their AMD Ryzen systems. The MPG X870I Edge TI EVO represents a Mini-ITX solution with active VRM cooling and multi-PCB architecture. This compact board supports 128GB DDR5 memory and provides extensive connectivity through USB ports, Wi-Fi 7, and specialized expansion modules. The design incorporates separate PCBs for additional SATA ports and USB headers.

The MAG X870E Tomahawk MAX PZ adopts backside connector placement for cleaner cable management. This full-size board accommodates 256GB DDR5 memory and features four M.2 slots with dedicated heatsinks. The motherboard positions CPU power, ATX, fan headers, and SATA connections on its rear panel. Both products demonstrate MSI's commitment to enhanced functionality and visual appeal. The manufacturer expects to launch these boards alongside additional AM5 options in the upcoming months.
