A special university called Marondera University will soon open a new science building. They have worked hard since 2021 to build it, and it's almost finished. Professor Justice Nyamangara runs the university, and he showed the building to Dr Frederick Shava, who helps run all the universities in Zimbabwe.
At first, people will use this building for office work. Later, it will become a special place where scientists can study important things that help farmers grow food better. The scientists will look at dirt from farms to tell farmers what they need to add to make plants grow. They will check if the water is safe to drink or good for watering plants. They can even help people who dig for special rocks and metals in mines.
Dr Shava liked what he saw at the university. He said he felt happy because the university showed him all the good work they're doing to make their home in Marondera. Right the building sits far away from other university buildings, but soon everything will be closer together. Dr Shava asked them to build the main office building faster.
Professor Nyamangara explained that this new science building will help many people. Farmers can bring their plants to check if they need more food to grow better. The building will also help people who want to make sure their water is clean. People from mines and cities can bring water samples to check if they're safe. This new building will make it easier for everyone because Zimbabwe doesn't have many places like this.
After they looked at the new science building, Dr. Shava went to another part of the university, where they helped people grow food and make things from what they grew.
