ZANU-PF big boss Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri told party people to stop using Conference Resolution Number 1 as a weapon against their friends. At a special party meeting yesterday in Harare, she worried about how members misuse this rule. The group voted for this rule to keep President Mnangagwa working until 2030. She said everyone agreed on this together, and nobody should use it to cause fights or make up fake reasons to punish others.
"Any leader who starts silly fights that split our party should feel ashamed. This kind of behavior helps our enemies," Muchinguri-Kashiri told the crowd. She liked what the Information team did with new rules about social media because many members post bad things online. She pushed leaders to talk more about what good things the party has done instead. When party members keep their promises, voters trust them more.
Muchinguri-Kashiri made clear that President Mnangagwa leads ZANU-PF, and anyone who talks badly about him will face punishment. "We must protect our President by fighting against fake groups inside the party. Selfish people make up these groups, and they risk our national safety," she explained. Many important party officials came to this meeting, including top leaders, committee members, state ministers, and local chairpersons from different areas.
She stressed how important good behavior is for reaching party goals. "We cannot accept bad behavior or distractions. Our party history should inspire us," she stated. She also talked about problems with local discipline groups that fail to handle cases fairly. She warned against old election fights continuing and people using punishment rules to attack personal enemies. "Some members take government stuff to run campaigns where we already have elected officials. We will not allow this," she declared. The party plans to send out a letter about these problems soon.
