Mumbai Meteors crush Hyderabad in humiliating sweep

Mumbai Meteors defeated Hyderabad Black Hawks 15-9, 15-13, and 15-7 on Saturday at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in the Prime Volleyball League. Shubham Chaudhary earned player of the match honors after his blocking and attacking controlled the contest from the opening set. Abhinav Salar disrupted Hyderabad with serves that forced defensive mistakes, and the Meteors maintained a two-man block against attackers Niyas Abdul Salam and Sahil Kumar.

Paulo Lamounier attempted to execute pipe attacks with John Joseph, but Hyderabad struggled against Salar's service run, which produced two super serves and two aces. Mathias Loftesnes added offensive support for Mumbai in the sweep. The Black Hawks opened Season 4 on Thursday with a victory over the Calicut Heroes, 15-12, 18-16, and 18-16, with Lamounier claiming player of the match recognition in that opener.
