Museveni denies Kasuku’s straw request, calls it a campaign bribe

The President publicly shut down a radio host begging for cash at the State House. Isaac Daniel Katende, commonly called Kasuku, tried securing "Luseke"—street slang for a financial handout—during the "Jazz With Jajja" youth meeting with Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, but the big boss refused. Museveni insisted that dispensing gifts shortly before the January polls looks exactly like bribing voters. This rejection occurred while the group discussed serious issues regarding the blocked Facebook access and expensive internet bundles.

The media personality claimed his fans expected him to return with tangible rewards from their grandfather figure. Museveni suggested he might consider the request only after the ballot counting concludes.
