Museveni Hails Farmer Raking In Millions On 4 Acres

President Yoweri Museveni praised a farmer from Mpigi District for using smart farming methods. Hajji Muhammad Yusuf Zziwa transformed his small farm into a money-making success story. The farmer used the four-acre model that Museveni supports across Uganda. This farming system helps families earn more money from small pieces of land. Zziwa started with just one cow and built a thriving business.

The four-acre plan divides land into specific sections for different crops and animals. One acre grows coffee plants for steady income. Another acre produces fruits like avocados and bananas. A third section provides grass for dairy cows that stay in one place. The final acre grows food for the family to eat at home.

Zziwa makes impressive profits from his diverse farming operation. His chickens produce 55 egg trays daily at 10,000 shillings each. The poultry business brings in 60 million shillings profit each year. Coffee farming adds another 56.8 million shillings annually. His dairy cow provides milk that earns 360,000 shillings monthly.

Museveni gave Zziwa a pickup truck and promised a solar water pump for the village. The farmer still faces challenges like expensive chicken feed and water shortages. Local leaders want more government investment in electricity and health services for rural areas.
