Museveni orders PDM funds for youth, land not a barrier

Museveni told officials running the Parish Development Model program to quit blocking young people from getting funds just because they don't have land. The president spoke at a Rwampara rally and said project viability matters way more than property ownership, pointing out that youth can rent space to launch businesses. He referenced some guy named Ayesigwa Kenneth from Kanungu who scored a million shillings, rented a spot for a restaurant, and later got into pig farming.

The president went off about how 30% of parish money gets reserved for the 18-30 crowd, but local elders keep gatekeeping access with bogus excuses. He showcased other success stories like George Matongo pulling in 21 million shillings monthly from dairy sales and Korea Dick Ogira banking 12 million yearly from cassava harvests. Museveni promised to throw in free coffee seedlings for households ready to get serious about commercial agriculture while pushing his 2026 manifesto centered on peace and wealth creation.
