Museveni urges Muslim leaders to ditch poverty, back NRM

Museveni just secured total loyalty from Muslim leaders while lecturing them about making cash. He hosted a squad under Sheikh Abdallah Ssemambo at State Lodge Nakasero to discuss unity and national vibes. The big man praised their contributions to development but insisted that religious groups must actively fight poverty regardless of their specific beliefs.

The President argued that God remains one despite different interpretations. He promised no trouble provided everyone follows the law. The veteran politician urged them to prioritize wealth creation instead of staying broke while praying. He wants spiritual guides to push economic hustle hard.

He thanked the group for backing the National Resistance Movement and dropped Hassan Basajjabala as a prime example of success. Museveni recalled how the businessman claimed that supporting the ruling party basically means helping yourself. This rhetoric aims to cement political alliances through financial incentives.

Sheikh Ssemambo appreciated the invitation and credited the head of state for guaranteeing freedom of worship. He promised that his people would stand firmly behind the current leadership. Sheikh Muhammad Irumba from Bunyoro-Tooro also praised the steady development progress under this administration.

Leaders from various regions attended the session to pledge allegiance. They vowed to guide their followers toward supporting the right person. The gathering reinforced the partnership between the state and religious institutions for future stability.
