Musical Sampling's Midnight Sax delivers Texas-sized attitude

Musical Sampling launched their Tenor Sax virtual instrument within the Kontakt platform. The software targets music creators who require authentic saxophone sounds for jazz, pop, R&B, and film projects. Developers recorded the instrument at Warm Studios in Texas to capture rich tonal qualities reminiscent of classic jazz venues and power ballads from the 1980s. The library operates through a single patch design that eliminates complicated key switching mechanisms.

Musicians access different playing techniques through velocity sensitivity and dedicated control keys. The instrument offers three distinct legato modes alongside various attack and release options for realistic performances. Two microphone positions allow users to blend intimate close sounds with spacious ambient textures. Round robin sampling prevents repetitive playback during sustained notes.

The company offers the library at a reduced rate of fifty-nine dollars through August 25th before returning to the standard eighty-nine dollar price. Users must own the complete version of Kontakt to operate this saxophone library.
