My Transparent Eye unveils dreamy new single Ribbons

My Transparent Eye became major players in the shoegaze music comeback with just a few songs. The New York duo previously released their single Ghost and covered the Velvet Underground song Candy Says. Music fans already consider them important artists in the current shoegaze revival movement.

Their latest track called Ribbons shows off many creative ideas packed into one song. The duo made this track entirely in recording studios using computer programs. Heavy guitar riffs rumble throughout the song paired with dreamy vocals that sound distant and otherworldly.

The band clearly assembled different pieces together using digital tools. This computer-based approach actually makes the song more appealing rather than hurting it. Chopped-up DIY sections create interesting contrast with the beautiful melodies that appear later in the track.

The song demonstrates how modern shoegaze artists blend traditional sounds with new technology. My Transparent Eye proves that studio manipulation can enhance rather than diminish the emotional impact of their music. Ribbons represents another strong addition to their small but impressive catalog of songs.
