Red Cross workers gathered at a fancy Yangon hotel for emergency training last week. The Myanmar Red Cross Society teamed up with international partners to teach life-saving skills. Rose Garden Hotel became the classroom for 31 rescue experts from across the country. Leaders from different states and regions attended the three-day event. The training happened from June 25 through June 27.
Emergency response teams learned new ways to help people during disasters. First aid experts shared tips about keeping communities safe from danger. Chairpeople and vice-chairpeople from local Red Cross groups participated. Township commanders and brigade leaders also joined the special sessions. The International Committee of Red Cross helped run the educational program.
