Myanmar, Russia eye digital tech partnership as U Lu Mon meets Konstantin Kanarev

Myanmar's transport ministry hosted Russian officials yesterday as both nations moved closer to a technology partnership agreement. Konstantin Kanarev, Russia's trade representative to Myanmar, led the visiting delegation during morning talks with Deputy Minister U Lu Mon. The officials focused their discussions on a pending memorandum of understanding that would link Myanmar's Ministry of Transport with Russia's Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The proposed agreement focuses on cooperation between the two countries in radio electronics and digital technology. Both sides explored potential areas where their governments could work together on technical projects. The meeting represents another step in strengthening economic ties between Myanmar and Russia through technology-sharing initiatives. Officials expressed positive views about the partnership's potential benefits for both nations' technological development goals.
